SUPERVISOR: Assistant Director of Social Media
HOURS: TBD post Covid ; Social media monitoring takes place nights and weekends, in addition to covering events that take place outside standard business hours.
GRADE/SALARY RANGE: 3 GENERAL PURPOSE The social media specialist is responsible for implementing social media strategy and tactics across multiple platforms; working with data tools to measure and increase audience engagement on those platforms and pivot based on data results; and maintaining consistency of voice, visual signature, and editorial standards of engagement across social media platforms. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Coordinates activities including promotional materials and products designed to promote awareness of Schools, department and/or campus services, programs or products within the campus community or to the general public.
- Plans, develops, and implements paid and organic social media campaigns in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Social Media.
- Researches, analyzes, monitors and evaluates social media marketing effectiveness, reporting results to appropriate higher levels of administration.
- Monitors Google Analytics, Social Media Management & Social Analytics Platforms for insights to campaign performance.
- Researches and analyzes new and digital platforms and methods for generating revenue in target markets. Identifies opportunities for optimization through A/B tests, target audiences, best times to post, relevant subjects for content generation, etc.
- Monitors platforms for audience sentiment and social listening.
DEESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Microsoft suite Web Development - Basic HTML a plus Statistical Software-Google Analytics/Social Analytics Social Scheduling - Sprout Social, Hootsuite or similar
- Bachelor's Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- 1-3 years' work experience
