What you’ll be doing...
The Strategist is responsible for the development of compelling strategic and creative content, within brand and on-strategy. We’re looking for an experienced strategist who is creative, forward-thinking and data-driven, possessing equal parts “creative brain” and “strategic brain,” to join our team. This position requires strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create compelling strategic narratives that generate content to drive engagement and meaningful action from key audiences. You must ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory restrictions. In addition, keeping informed of the business challenges and competitor strategies is critical for success.
Develop thorough and inspiring briefs, and present them to the creative team.
Provide strategic recommendations and content support for ad hoc projects and campaigns while ensuring consistency with internal content standards and best practices.
Manage calendar, maintaining a unified single view on planned content and ad hoc content, ensuring content is timely, culturally relevant, on-brand and cohesive to larger brand narrative.
Research category, competitors, target audience and cultural trends to support creative strategy and inform execution.
Conduct monthly performance reports to educate the team on optimization strategies.
Prepare presentations and materials to share with key business stakeholders to provide insight into our activities. This includes sharing content calendars and performance roundups of engagements earned.
Adapt to ever-changing landscape of content, and actively advise the team on how our content should reflect these changes and trends.
Respond to all requests and communications in a timely and thorough manner.
Work to improve the team’s overall performance and embrace a collaborative approach.
Take the lead in meetings and be able to report back to Senior Management on status and updates.
Help the team to strategically perform the work on a high level of planning.
Distill high-level creative thoughts and articulate back to the team.
Edit and proofread material as demand and scheduling require.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience working on B2B brands and/or technology/service category brands.
Experience in Strategy Development and Planning roles.
Even better if you have:
Experience managing and leading projects.
Experience briefing an in-house creative team and/or ad agency.
Experience working directly with digital platform and technology partners.
Knowledge around optimizing content to drive engagement.
Strategic thinking skills and a passion for digital marketing.
Problem-solving skills: An approach that is creative, practical, innovative, thorough, and detail-oriented.
Ability to be entrepreneurial: Driven, agile, analytical, curious, and empathetic.
Ability to get things done: Highly organized and a disciplined manager of time and projects.
Ability to stay calm and considered under tight/intense deadlines.
