Job Description Summary:
The Digital Content Specialist is a new position in our award-winning Marketing and Communications Office. The successful candidate will manage Valley Christian’s digital presence – including digital campaigns, social media channels, and website management and will assist with video production and photography. The position will report to the Director of Communications and Marketing with a July 2021 start date.
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage, write, and execute outbound campaigns of paid and organic digital prospect strategies, including search, social, optimization efforts and campaign analysis to meet and/or exceed campaign goals.
Manages content and strategy for our digital platforms to include writing, developing, and editing copy and graphics, and responding to inquiries across platforms.
Assists with the development and implementation of new digital communications initiatives and campaigns.
Produces videos to include storyboarding, planning, scriptwriting, filming, editing, proofing, and posting videos.
Assists with website management. Includes building new pages, making edits, and oversight of online ticketing, camp registrations, live streams, and calendar.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to capture quality photo/video opportunities as well as news items for social media, website, eblasts and e-newsletters.
Stay abreast of evolving marketing technology available to the industry and make recommendations to improve our marketing efforts.
Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to insure brand consistency and uniformity of visual assets across all communications platforms.
Build and cultivate relationships with faculty, students, and staff to encourage and share community-made marketing content.
Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
A professing and maturing Christian enthusiastically supporting Valley Christian’s statement of faith, mission, and vision.
Has education and/or experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, graphic design, website content management, social media management, and Microsoft Office.
Experience with creating and managing digital marketing campaigns.
Ability to shoot and edit photos.
Ability to concept, direct, shoot, and edit video projects.
Strong journalistic writing and editorial skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including public speaking, listening, and interpretive skills.
A self-starter with a high level of creativity and innovation.
Uses time efficiently, organizes work systematically, and can independently complete projects.
Must have and maintain a valid level one IVP fingerprint card.
