About the Position
The Director of Digital Strategy is a strategic leadership role within the Executive Education Marketing Team. Exec Ed’s go to market strategies are undergoing a dramatic revitalization as our programming offerings evolve and our marketing technology becomes more sophisticated. This position will be responsible for crafting and implementing a group-wide strategy to use marketing technology to drive enrollments. This position will be the point person for the group to lead a partnership with KIS and external partners to assess our marketing technology, opportunities to improve our technology, and thus increase marketing results. Our efforts are 100% digital, and require improved system integration, lead generation, lead scoring, and marketing automation. This position will work cross-functionally with all involved to introduce short term and long term advancements in the practice of marketing in Exec Ed.
The Director of Digital Strategy is a collaborator and a leader responsible for inspiring and managing the focus on practice improvement across the Exec Ed marketing team, the Exec Ed SLT, and KIS, as well as external partners. .
This lead role is the primary digital expert and owner of the long-term vision for digital marketing channels and arbiter of quality for digital-related initiatives which impact both the Kellogg brand and Exec Ed revenue.
Create and implement a cross-department strategy to improve and evolve our marketing technology and practices in order to drive improved enrollments for Executive Education.
Lead the strategy through cross-functional collaboration with KIS and external partners as well as all members of Kellogg Exec Ed Marketing and key stakeholders within Exec Ed. Inspire the organization to embrace shared goals and ensure the necessary stakeholders are engaged.
Be a positive, trusted partner, brand ambassador and connector across the Kellogg organization, extending to senior level stakeholders and faculty.
Gain an in depth understanding of all Exec Ed Marketing sub-functions in order to represent the big picture to all stakeholders and potentially assume broader responsibility within the group once the strategy and implementation plans are in place.
Function as the primary advisor to the Managing Director of Marketing on marketing technology, digital marketing practices, and marketing impact on registrations.
Collaborate with Managing Director of Marketing and key staff to implement automated descriptive and predictive marketing analytics to enable better anticipation of business trends.
Collaborate with Kellogg Marketing and KIS to ensure sharing of best practices and efficient investments in marketing technology.
Responsible for monitoring our competitive marketing environment to ensure Kellogg is leading, not lagging, in our go to market approach for Executive Education.
Implement a system for automated social listening to identify issues and opportunities for Kellogg Executive Education.
Accountable for being an internal trendsetter and innovator in emerging technologies, innovations, digital trends and evolving best practices, and identify where to implement them within our organization.
10+ years of experience in emerging digital platforms, interactive marketing or digital platform management and leadership of teams.
Baccalaureate degree required, with a concentration in IT, digital strategy, marketing, or related field.

Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
Superior understanding and track record in digital marketing, e-commerce and driving business impact through marketing technology.
In-depth knowledge in online customer experience (UX), search engine marketing and optimization, web analytics and technologies, digital media planning and content/social media management.
Candidate must possess a strong knowledge and/or experience with the following: MS Office suite software such as Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Proficient in all social media platforms. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and CMS platforms a strong plus.
