We are currently seeking a Communication Manager to start immediately.
Position: Communication Manager Reports to: Director of Communication FLSA Status: Exempt
Reporting to the Director of Communication, this position focuses on building brand awareness for the School externally and increasing the breadth and depth of our communications internally. The Manager will interact daily with the wider Sacred Heart Greenwich community—from students and teachers to alumnae and parents. The Manager will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of digital and printed communications; everything from photography and videography to publications and social media. The ideal candidate is open to learning about all areas of digital marketing, building on internship and personal experience creating and consuming content or an existing public relations, communications, or marketing career.
Assist in the development and production of social, digital and printed materials, which means coming up with content ideas, creating content and distributing it
Develop and distribute emails on behalf of the Parents’ Association, the Fund for Sacred Heart, special events, admissions office, and more
Create website and publication content
Participate in regular professional development to learn new digital strategies
2-7 years years of related communications, writing or social media experience (internships and coursework can count toward experience years)
College graduates can also apply - there is room for a more entry-level team member as well
Professional or personal proficiency in social media
Event, fundraising or marketing experience is a plus
Impeccable writing and communications skills; a creative storyteller
Highly organized and detail-oriented
A team player who can also work independently
Up-to-speed on the changing media landscape and emerging new media channels
Holds a Bachelor’s Degree
Availability for occasional evening and weekend events outside of COVID
This is a 12-month position
