Job Description:
Oversees the marketing and communication needs of the Alumni Relations and Development division, managing a team of two communication professionals. Collaborates with the senior directors and directors of Annual Giving, Alumni Relations, Special Events, Corporate Relations and Donor Relations to research, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive and synergetic marketing and communication plans with detailed goals, tactics, timelines, budgets and projections.
Collaborates with the senior directors and directors of Annual Giving, Alumni Relations, Special Events, Corporate Relations, Donor Relations and Campaign Strategist to research, develop, implement and evaluate comprehensive and synergetic marketing, advertising and communication plans and calendars for these areas to advance the alumni participation and engagement rates of the university and that leverage digital marketing best practices.
Oversees the design and manage the production of Alumni Relations and Development print and digital marketing materials; determine the scope of projects, estimating costs, facilitating task lists, projecting timelines, and ensuring deliverables; and liaises with external vendors on print and digital solutions.
Liaises with Trinity University's Strategic Communications and Marketing team on marketing and communication solutions for the Giving pages on the Trinity University website, as well as for annual signature Alumni Relations and Development programs and events, including the Alumni Weekend, President's Dinner, 1869 Challenge, lectures and speakers series and other special events.
Reviews and edits Alumni Relations and Development marketing and communication materials so that they align with Trinity University style guides and branding.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Follows and enforces University graphic identity guidelines on the proper uses of logos, fonts, colors, and other branded materials.
Manages and participates in administrative functions, including preparing budgets and tracking expenditures; creates and maintains policies and procedures associated with areas of responsibility.
Follows trends in alumni relations and development marketing and outreach, including tools and approaches to raising alumni participation and engagement rates.
Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.
Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION
Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred:
Master's degree from an accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Five years of marketing and communications experience at a nonprofit, company or higher education institution.

Experience with multi-million-dollar campaigns.
