About the Department
The University of Cincinnati (UC) College of Nursing (CoN) has been at the forefront of nursing education for more than 130 years. Our goal at the UC College of Nursing's marketing department is to work on several fronts to raise awareness of the college's programs and initiatives with prospective students, donors, alumni, and the Greater Cincinnati community. We work collaboratively with other departments within the college and university to develop and execute the plans and strategies to accomplish that.
The College of Nursing is seeking a full time Digital Content Specialist to join its Marketing Unit. Under general supervision of the Director of Marketing & Publications, this position will play a crucial role in enhancing the online presence of the college through the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital marketing plan and content strategies. This position offers a hybrid work schedule. The designated off-site location must be in the tristate area of Ohio, Kentucky or Indiana.
Create, copy edit and publish engaging content and compelling copy for distribution across multiple channels, including articles, blog posts, emails, social media posts, videos, etc.
Manage website and social media platform.
Develop, manage and analyze performance of college's digital editorial calendar, making recommendations on opportunities and improvements.
Responsible for website updates and social media strategy development. Leverage website and social media channel analytics data to optimize digital strategies.
Enforce the university's web style guide, and advocate for the CMS.
Serve as a resource for standards, best practices and guidelines around brand, visual identity, information architecture, content, and accessibility.
Act as the liaison between the college and central Digital Communications team.
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
One (1) year of relevant work experience in content creation, web content management, social media management, or marketing communications.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Adobe Creative Suite.
Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Additional Qualifications Considered
Experience with SEO tools and Google Analytics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent multitasking and analytical skills.
Highly developed attention to detail.
