Position Objective Summary: Provide digital marketing and communications expertise to support ongoing programs at Four County EMC. Develop and implement innovative cooperative marketing initiatives across digital and traditional channels. This position will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing digital platforms, and contributing to the cooperative’s publications, events, and community programs.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred.
- Experience
- Three (3) years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or related fields preferred.
- Proficiency in content creation, social media management, and analytics tools is required.
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Experience with photography, videography, and multimedia content production is a benefit.
- Proficiency with website management (CMS) and email marketing platforms.
- Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
III. Mental and Physical Requirements
- Must be able to accurately, clearly, and concisely communicate in both written and verbal formats with supervisors, employees, and the general public.
- Must be proficient in using computers, phones, and other office equipment to perform daily tasks, including data input and content creation.
- Ability to evaluate digital marketing strategies and campaigns critically, make data-driven decisions, and develop creative solutions to optimize performance.
- Must possess a North Carolina driver's license and be able to operate a motorized vehicle without assistance.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to attend work on a regular and predictable basis, including evening/weekend hours for events as necessary.

VII. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Digital Marketing and Content Development (60%)
- Develop and implement innovative digital marketing strategies, focusing on enhancing brand visibility and member engagement through social media, email marketing, and digital advertising.
- Monitor and manage all social media channels, providing timely responses to inquiries and addressing member feedback.
- Design and maintain the cooperative’s website, ensuring user-friendly navigation and up-to-date content.
- Create digital content, including graphics, videos, and written copy, for email campaigns, social media posts, blogs, and website updates.
- Measure and analyze the performance of digital marketing campaigns, using insights to improve strategies and increase engagement.
- Lead the creation of multimedia presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Contribute to crisis communication efforts, particularly during outages or emergency events, through digital channels.
- Create signage for community outreach events.
- Member Programs (20%)
- Support the promotion of member programs such as energy efficiency rebates, electric vehicle initiatives, and community outreach projects.
- Assist in developing digital marketing campaigns to promote programs like the Rebate Program, Bright Ideas grants, Youth Leadership initiatives, and scholarships for students.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and program visibility across all digital channels.
- Special Events and Community Engagement (20%)
- Assist in planning and executing cooperative-sponsored events, including the annual meeting, community meetings, and educational initiatives.
- Capture and edit event photography and videography for use in marketing materials and on digital platforms.
- Assist with event logistics, ensuring smooth coordination of community programs and internal company events.
- Engage with members and the public through digital channels to promote events and highlight Four County EMC’s commitment to the community.
