The UW MEDICINE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION LEAD is responsible for managing a portfolio of assigned Digital Health and Virtual Care Delivery initiatives. The position is responsible for managing all aspects of project management with focus on change management and adoption to facilitate the successful deployment of capabilities to improve ease of access for patients, families, referring providers, and care teams.
The Digital Health and Virtual Care Delivery initiatives are multidisciplinary, large-scale, high-profile, and enterprise-wide, with the aim of improving the patient/family, provider, and staff experience by leveraging digital technologies to support processes in access, care delivery, and operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES: •The Digital Transformation Lead will be responsible for the following: •Support the Digital Health Office in the development of best practice program evaluation and implementation tools to facilitate the deployment of UW Medicine's digital front door. •Understanding interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs to help develop KPIs for programs and projects, in support of achieving organizational goals and objectives. •Work with project owners and stakeholders to develop and lead multi-disciplinary project teams across UW Medicine, including (but not limited to): Information Technology, Access & Innovation, Marketing & Communications, Patient Experience, Enterprise Revenue Cycle, and Clinical Operations to support successful deployment of virtual care delivery and digital front door capabilities. •Develop and effectively manage project budgets and provide regular status updates, as appropriate. Define and manage overall change control processes and quality assurance aspects of the project to ensure project success. •Define and manage overall risk identification and mitigation process through interaction with project team, sponsors and key stakeholders. •Assess Digital Health initiatives for success in meeting established goals and support process improvement work and standard work development as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: •Bachelor's Degree in related field. •6 or more years’ experience applying project management techniques and approaches to managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects, preferably in a healthcare setting. •Demonstrated experience improving processes in a matrixed environment. •Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) with ability to differentially apply these as appropriate based on project/team needs. •Experience with healthcare operations and patient access. •Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and demonstration of leading teams to successful outcomes. •Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking and analysis - using metrics and data to drive business outcomes. •Strong collaborative, proactive & positive working style with a customer service focus. •Effective communication; strong written and verbal skills; comfortable presenting to and working with staff, providers, and all levels of leadership. •Experience leading multiple, complex projects and/or programs demonstrating organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work efforts and work under pressure, while maintaining effectiveness. •Ability to function as a project management SME & drive best practice/infrastructure development. •Demonstrated experience using MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook. •An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
DESIRED •Formal Project Management training. •Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Communications, or related field. •Experience working within a complex health system, and/or an academic health system. •Clinical background or licensure. •Experience with Digital Health, Telehealth, and/or Digital Marketing. •Proactive problem solver, strong project management skills, critical-thinking skills •Able to build and maintain strategic and effective working relationships with executives, administrators, and faculty and sub B projects/programs staff. •Able to communicate effectively across various perspectives, experiences and knowledge bases, takes initiative, and is proactive in their approach. |
