1. Represents Aurora University in the most positive manner with prospective, former and current students, clients, suppliers and the community we serve. Interacts effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students and other customers of our service, learns and uses operating practices of the department and Aurora University.

4. Supports learning through performance of essential job functions and performing other duties and functions as necessary or as assigned, including voluntary participation in university committees, activities and events.

• Create, update, and maintain website content in support of the Marketing Communications web development and content team. 
• Assist with planning, creating, scheduling, and monitoring social media content across university platforms. 
• Research, write, and edit content for the university blog, website, and other digital communications, as well as print pieces as-needed. 
• Monitor the social media activity of university-affiliated accounts and track media mentions of the university. 
• Gather, measure, and summarize basic analytics for website, blog, and social media performance. 
• Support content consistency by proofreading and fact-checking for accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with university brand and editorial standards. 
• Stay current on digital content trends and best practices in higher education marketing and communications. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English, public relations, or related field required.

• One to two years of relevant internship or work experience in digital content, communications, or marketing preferred.

• A valid driver's license and driving record which meets institutional requirements is required. 
• May require travel to off-site locations.
