Temporary Sports Marketing Intern

Brief Summary of Work for this Position:

• Assist in directing gameday experience and marketing efforts for UNCW athletic programs competing on campus
• Operate Daktronics video board system for men's and women's basketball, and baseball
• Develop marketing/promotion schedules for designated programs
• Collaborate with social media/creative team to implement digital marketing efforts
• Act as a direct marketing/gameday contact for designated program's coaches
• Assist with on-campus student engagement efforts
• Collaborate with on-campus entities to drive student attendance to athletic events

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Previous experience within college athletics

The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment. Employees in temporary positions are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave. Temporary employees are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines.
