Key Responsibilities: Duties include content creation, media coordination, and social media management; producing graphic, video, and web content; overseeing in-airport advertising; and leading tours and outreach initiatives. The role involves responding to passenger inquiries, promoting events, building partnerships with tourism and economic development organizations, and supporting public messaging during disruptions. The position also contributes to press releases, monthly reports, and the Airport Marketing Plan.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced role ideal for a proactive communicator and creative problem-solver.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates regularly with the Executive Leadership Team to support strategic initiatives.
- Manages and grows the airport’s presence across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, etc.) through daily content planning, posting, monitoring, and community engagement.
- Monitors social media trends to create innovative and engaging content.
- Responds to passenger inquiries and messages via email and social media, ensuring timely, professional, and accurate communication.
- Designs and produces engaging graphic and video content for digital platforms, marketing campaigns, and in-airport signage.
- Assists in developing multimedia presentations and collateral, including PowerPoint decks, newsletters, brochures, photography, and video content.
- Serves as a secondary media spokesperson, participating in interviews and representing the airport in the CMO’s absence.
- Assist with drafting initial messaging and monitoring digital platforms during emergencies or service disruptions.
- Captures high-quality photography during events, press conferences, and daily operations for use in PR and social media.
- Maintains and updates website content to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and ease of navigation.
- Develops and leads educational programming, including guided tours for youth, adults, and special interest groups.
- Oversees daily operations of the in-airport advertising program, including vendor coordination, ad placements, and revenue tracking.
- Builds relationships with tourism partners, CVBs, economic development agencies, and community organizations for co-branded initiatives.
- Assists with planning, promoting, and executing events such as media announcements, community activities, tours, and outreach programs.
- Contributes to the development and distribution of press releases, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Collaborates with the CMO on marketing campaigns, special projects, and execution of the Airport Marketing Plan.
- Monitors press coverage, tracks media hits, and compiles monthly reports on marketing and PR performance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media best practices.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in public speaking and media settings.
- Experience with website CMS platforms and content updates.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency.
